On Wednesday (April 5th) we woke up early to beat the long lines at the Eiffel Tower. After a tense Metro ride, which saved time but made us feel like bumbling tourists, we arrived. Getting there early paid off, as we did not wait in any of the lines for long (line for tickets, line for 1st elevator, line for 2nd elevator, line for 3rd elevator).

You can get a bit of an idea of how huge it is compared to those tiny people milling around.

It was a very chilly day, and at each level it got windier and colder, we were thankful that the top level was indoors.
